There has been scenes that have gripped you to the edge of your seat, and now you can relive them at the locations where they were actually filmed!
TOUR ITINERARY
Hop aboard at the doors of your Glasgow/Edinburgh accommodation at 0800. You will make your way to Hopetoun House, a grand house which is the filming location for many scenes in the Outlander series. Your next stop if Midhope Castle, Jamie’s family home in the series, before we move on to the incredible fierce looking and impressive castle, Blackness Castle. This was made to represent Fort William in the series and was the scene where Jamie had received lashes from Captain Randall and also where Jamie’s father died.
As we move through the tour, you’ll also visit Linlithgow Palace. As well as being used as the infamous Wentworth Prison in Outlander, this is also the birthplace of many Scottish Royals including Mary Queen of Scots. Fantastic photo opportunities and a bite to eat can be had at Stirling Castle – one of Scotland’s most significant – before we make our way to Doune Castle in the afternoon.
As the tour progresses, you’ll find yourself in a lovely 16th century village of Culross which you will recognise instantly as it is used for many scenes within the series. Used to portray the city of Inverness in the series, you will be able to visit the quantit town of Falkland before ending the tour at Dysart Harbour. This was used to depict a French Harbour in the series where Claire, Jamie and Murtagh arrive in Le Havre. At 2000, we will drop you to the door of your Glasgow/Edinburgh accommodation.
