    TOUR ITINERARY

    Day One:

Hop aboard at the doors of your Glasgow/Edinburgh accommodation at 0800. You will make your way to Hopetoun House, a grand house which is the filming location for many scenes in the Outlander series. Your next stop is Midhope Castle, Jamie’s family home in the series, before we move on to Blackness Castle. This was made to represent Fort William in the series and was part of many iconic scenes. You’ll also visit Linlithgow Palace which was used as the infamous Wentworth Prison but is also the birthplace of many Scottish Royals including Mary Queen of Scots. Fantastic photo opportunities can be had at Stirling Castle and Doune Castle (fictionally known as Castle Leoch) before stopping for a bite to eat in the scenic town of Pitlochry. To end the first day, visit Culloden and the Clava Cairns before resting the head at your Inverness accommodation.

    Day Two:

Day two starts at 0800 and the first stop is Loch Ness. This tranquil location has many connections to Outlander. Make sure to be on the lookout for monsters lurking in the water whilst you visit! Following on, visit Drumnadrochit and the famous Urquhart Castle, both of which have featured in memorable Outlander scenes. As you head South again, Fort Augustus is a beautiful location that lets you imagine what it was like for Jamie and Claire in those days. You will also have a chance to see and explore Fort William which is the real life setting which inspired the series. As we drive south, Glencoe boasts dramatic and awe-inspiring landscape which features in the opening credits of Outlander while Loch Lomond brings out the romantic side of Scotland. Whilst not featured in the Outlander series, The Kelpies this is a great place to end your journey before heading back to Edinburgh/ Glasgow. Best seen in the evening when the equine structure glow with colourful light.
